Terms & Conditions for Donations

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern all donations made through the website www.dri.org.in ("Website"), owned and operated by Deendayal Research Institute ("DRI""), a registered Not-for-Profit organisation. By making a donation, you ("Donor") agree to be bound by these Terms.

Nature of Donation

All contributions made through this Website are voluntary donations towards DRI's charitable objectives, including rural development, agriculture, tribal welfare, community livelihood programmes, and charitable activities during emergencies. Donations are gratuitous in nature and do not entitle the Donor to any goods, services, or ownership rights in return.

Payment Processing

- Donations can be made via the payment methods listed on the Website .

- The Website is secured with SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption, ensuring that all payment and personal data transmitted is encrypted during transit.

- DRI does not store your card, banking, or payment credentials; these are processed directly through our authorised payment gateway partner(s).

- You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the donation amount and your personal details (name, address, PAN, email) at the time of making the donation.

Donation Receipts and Tax Benefits

- A donation receipt/acknowledgment will be issued to the email address provided at the time of donation.

- Donations from Indians and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) are solicited. All donations to Deendayal Research Institute are exempt under section 80(G).

- Tax receipts will include DRI's name, registered address, PAN, 80G registration number and validity, donation amount, date, and mode of payment, as prescribed.

- Donations exceeding Rs. 2,000 must be made through non-cash/electronic modes to qualify for 80G deduction, in accordance with Income Tax rules.

- DRI is required to report donation details under Form 10BD/10BE to the Income Tax Department; donors are requested to provide accurate PAN and contact details for this purpose.

- No tax deduction claim can be honoured without a valid receipt bearing DRI's registration number.

Foreign Contributions (FCRA Compliance)

Donations from foreign sources (including Non-Resident Indians and foreign nationals/entities) are governed by the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010 (FCRA). Such contributions can only be accepted if DRI holds a valid FCRA registration or prior permission, and must be routed through DRI's designated FCRA bank account as mandated by law. DRI reserves the right to decline or return any foreign contribution that does not comply with applicable FCRA requirements.

Refunds and Cancellations

- Donations, once made, are generally non-refundable, as they are voluntary contributions towards charitable purposes

- In case of a genuine error (e.g., duplicate transaction, incorrect amount, or technical glitch), Donors may contact DRI within a reasonable period (typically 7–15 days) to request a review and possible refund, at DRI's discretion.

- Refunds, where approved, will be processed to the original payment source within 15–30 working days

Donor Responsibilities

- You confirm that the funds used for donation are legally owned by you and not derived from any unlawful activity

- You confirm that all information provided (name, PAN, address, contact details) is accurate and complete.

- Recurring/monthly donations, if offered, may be cancelled by the Donor at any time by contacting DRI, effective from the next billing cycle.

Data Privacy and Security

Personal and payment information submitted through the Website is protected using SSL encryption and handled in accordance with DRI's Privacy Policy. DRI does not sell, rent, or share donor personal information with third parties, except as required for payment processing, tax compliance (e.g., IT Department reporting), or legal obligations.

Limitation of Liability

DRI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of the donation facility on this Website, including delays or failures caused by third-party payment gateways, banks, or internet service disruptions.

Governing Law


These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Ned Delhi, India.

Amendments

DRI reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the donation facility after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
